HCCYL birthday cutoff is MAY 1. Ask yourself, how old will my child be on May 1? What ever the age will determine which division your child qualifies for. Click here to visit our Divisional Info Pages for more information about the different division age groups.

Please note: HCCYL's season spans from August 1 through July 31 of each year!
ALL OUT DRAFT FOR FALL 2017! All participants registering for the HCCYL Fall 2017 Season will not automatically be re-assigned to the team he/she played for during the previous season. This decision puts HCCYL in-line with all other community leagues which draft annually including Bud Hudson Football, Hopkinsville-Christian County Youth Basketball League, as well as, YMCA sponsored sports programs.
Each team will automatically begin with 2 players. The Coach and Assistant Coach’s child will automatically be placed on the team. Each team shall name the Coach and the Assistant coach PRIOR TO DRAFT and verified by HCCYL to ensure consistency and integrity of player selection. Siblings (if within the same age division) will be paired together. This will eliminate the number of draft picks remaining for the coach. Hardship player placement will be handled on a case by case basis.
Only the Coach/Assistant Coach is allowed to be present during the draft event. It is the goal of HCCYL that prior to leaving the draft facility, each coach will have their drafted rosters, with contact information of each of their child as well as a box of candy for every player signed up for candy sales.
CANDY SALES (Not applicable in the Fall Season)
As part of additional fundraising efforts of HCCYL for annual expenses and continuing upkeep of our park improvements, parents that sign up for the discounted registration w/ candy sale will be required to sell a box of chocolate bars from “World’s Finest Chocolate”. Each box contains 60 bars of chocolate that sell for $1 each. Candy boxes will be distributed by the Coach/Assistant Coach during the first scheduled practice. Candy money must be turned in by the deadline in order to receive your child’s team shirt and hat.
TEAM PICTURES (Not applicable during Fall Season)
Team pictures will be taken during our “Super Saturday” event scheduled. Picture order forms will be distributed during the first practice along with your box of candy. Picture forms will need to be completed and turned in at the time of taking pictures. Each team will have a scheduled time slot to be at the park in order to take pictures and then participate in the Super Saturday events.
SUPER SATURDAY (Not applicable during Fall Season)
Super Saturday will become a “BATTLE FOR HCCYL” where each team will participate in an all-day single elimination tournament within their division! The tournament seeding will be based on the current standings of the division at that time. “BATTLE FOR HCCYL” trophies will be awarded and winning teams will be recognized! Also during Super Saturday will have team photographs, bouncers, individual skill contests and many other activities you and your child can enjoy! Super Saturday wins/losses will not count towards regular season standings.
Since 1976, HCCYL has provided the youth of Christian County, Kentucky with a fun and safe environment to play organized baseball and softball.
