AGE CUTOFF DATE
Tee Ball and Instructional Division:
The Age Determination Date for a Little League Tee Ball and Instructional Division player is the actual age of a child as of January 1 for girls or August 31 for boys as of the current year.
Baseball (Minor, Major and Senior Baseball Divisions):
The Age Determination Date for a Little League Baseball player is the actual age of a child as of August 31 of the current year.
Softball (Minor, Junior and Senior Softball Divisions):
The Age Determination Date for a Little League Softball player is the actual age of a child as of January 1 of the current year.
These respective dates identify the “league age” as it relates to a player’s eligibility to participate in any of Little League’s divisions of play. Click the link below to access the Little League Age Calculator to help determine your child's eligibility.
All out draft for Fall 2018! All participants registering for the 2018 HCCYL Fall Season will be re-entered into an ALL-OUT DIVISIONAL DRAFT! Your child will not automatically be re-assigned to the team he/she played for during the previous spring season(s).
Each team will automatically begin with 2 players. The Coach and Assistant Coach’s child will automatically be placed on the team. Each team shall name the Coach and the Assistant Coach PRIOR TO DRAFT SELECTION and verified by HCCYL to ensure consistency and integrity of player selection. Siblings (if within the same age division) will be paired together. This will eliminate the number of draft picks remaining for the coach. Hardship player placement will be handled on a case by case basis but not guaranteed.
Each team shall also automatically have a third player placed on the team ONLY IF the child is identified by the BUSINESS SPONSOR of that particular team!
CANDY SALES (Not applicable in the Fall Season)
As part of additional fundraising efforts of HCCYL for annual expenses and continuing upkeep of our park improvements, parents that sign up for the discounted registration w/ candy sale will be required to sell a box of chocolate bars from “World’s Finest Chocolate”. Each box contains 60 bars of chocolate that sell for $1 each. Candy boxes will be distributed by the Coach/Assistant Coach during the first scheduled practice. Candy money must be turned in by the deadline in order to receive your child’s team shirt and hat.
Team pictures will be taken during a designated date/time each Spring/Fall Season. Picture order forms will be distributed during the first practice along with your box of candy. Picture forms will need to be completed and turned in at the time of taking pictures. Each team will have a scheduled time slot to be at the park in order to take pictures and then participate in the day's events.
BATTLE FOR RUFF PARK (Not applicable during Fall Season)
The BATTLE FOR RUFF PARK where each team will participate in an all-day single elimination tournament within their division! The tournament seeding will be based on the current standings of the division at that time. “BATTLE FOR RUFF PARK” trophies will be awarded and winning teams will be recognized! Also during the tournament we will have team photographs, bouncers, individual skill contests and many other activities you and your child can enjoy! The Battle for Ruff Park wins/losses will not count towards regular season standings.
