Your registration fees help pay the costs of the operation of the season. HCCYL Little League is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that does not receive stipends from outside sources. Fees and sponsorships offset the costs of player uniforms, hats, advertising, media, daily operation of Ruff Park, insurance, and Little League International dues. 100% of all income generated goes back into our organization and facilities. As part of additional fundraising efforts of HCCYL for annual expenses and continuing upkeep of our park improvements, parents that sign up for the discounted registration w/ candy sale will be required to sell a box of chocolate bars from “World’s Finest Chocolate”. Each box contains 60 bars of chocolate that sell for $1 each. Candy boxes will be distributed by the Coach/Assistant Coach during the first scheduled practice. Candy money must be turned in by the deadline in order to receive your child’s team shirt and hat.
Evaluation Day is a good time for your player to stretch their legs and show off their baseball/softball skills. The evaluation is reserved for the competitive divisions (excluding tee ball and instructional coach pitch). The basics of evaluation resemble a "pitch, hit, and run" combine where y your player will have the chance to showcase their skill in the batting cages, fundamental drills on the field, and base running.
Evaluation allows are coaches to get a first hand glance at your player's skill set ability in preparation for the HCCYL LL draft.
Evaluations are mandatory. Those players not in attendance will be randomly selected to a team during the draft WITHOUT the option for a coach pick.
This year's evaluation will take place at the HOPKINSVILLE SPORTSPLEX on Saturday, March 16 beginning at 9 am.

All participants registering will be entered into an ALL-OUT DIVISIONAL DRAFT! Your child will not automatically be re-assigned to the team he/she played for during the previous spring season(s).
Each team will automatically begin with 2 players. The Coach and Assistant Coach’s child will automatically be placed on the team. Each team shall name the Coach and the Assistant Coach PRIOR TO DRAFT SELECTION and verified by HCCYL to ensure consistency and integrity of player selection. Siblings (if within the same age division) will be paired together. This will eliminate the number of draft picks remaining for the coach. Hardship player placement will be handled on a case by case basis but not guaranteed.
This year's draft will take place at SOUTHSIDE CHURCH OF CHRIST ANNEX BUILDING on March 25 and March 26. Specific time slots for each division shall be announced very soon.
Super Saturday is a day of fun during the Spring Season. Each teams plays on this Saturday. The games are part of the regular season play and count towards the team and division standings.
This is also "Picture Day" for HCCYL where each team will take team and individual photos. Photography is provided by Southern Exposure.
HCCYL will also have "Backyard Bouncers" for your younger players to play and there will also be a "fastest throw" and a "mini" home run derby for the older players to compete.
Team pictures will be taken during a designated date/time each Spring/Fall Season. Picture order forms will be distributed during the first practice along with your box of candy. Picture forms will need to be completed and turned in at the time of taking pictures. Each team will have a scheduled time slot to be at the park in order to take pictures and then participate in the day's events.
Each team needs a designated score keeper. This is a good opportunity for a parent to help out the team and manage the score books for home games and manage the scoreboard for the away games. Score keepers are integral in keeping the game scores and pitch counts (Major Division only) to track your team's progress throughout the season. So if coaching isn't your thing, become a score keeper!
