HCCYL will rebuild!

We are very thankful for our Fiscal Court and the Christian Co Jail for their partnership and dedication to Ruff Park and HCCYL.

As you may not know, HCCYL does not own the grounds at Ruff Park. Back in the 70's an agreement was reached with the county government to lease the property where Ruff Park sets today. From that moment, the volunteers of HCCYL, along with help from the City/County government, built Ruff Park (originally the top four fields). From there, a partnership was bonded between the league and the county and Ruff Park has under gone several expansions and improvements over the years.

We were devastated when the news reached us that Ruff Park had been severely affected by the tornadoes that ripped through our county on January 18. At first glance, Ruff Park appeared to be the remains of a great battle and left in ruin.

Our country officials were engaged very quickly and within 24 hours, HCCYL was given a plan to repair/rebuild Ruff Park in order to meet our community's need for youth tee ball, baseball and softball in Christian County. Insurance adjusters have visited the park, estimates for work has been obtained and approved. The work is well underway towards getting Ruff Park back to operational.

All of the Board of Directors at HCCYL would like to thank all those involved in the clean-up and rebuild efforts at Ruff Park. Hats off to you guys!

WE WILL BE READY TO PLAY BALL FOR THE 2020 SPRING SEASON!
